ROAD OF OUR LIFE

When you get home tonight
And you sneak in past my room
Baby just know that I
(That I) Still love you
I know things ain’t going right
It’s not that hard to see
Whatever you do
Know this about me

That though the road is rough
And winds on out of view
And it isn’t clear which way
We probably ought to choose
And all the maps we hold
Don’t tell us what to do
Just look over your shoulder
Cause I’ll still be with you

We spent a lifetime
In just a few short years
It seems our love
Has somehow turned to fear
We keep hurting ourselves
Lately all I see is tears
I’m so afraid I’ll loose you
That’s why I hope you’ll hear

Are we so far down the wrong road
That we can’t change our own way
Is the very next exit
The very one that will take you away
I don’t know what we’re heading to
But if you let me
I’ll still walk with you
Hand in hand
Side by side
Down the road of our life
